Customer Reviews for Utopia - Ashford

A Hidden Gem - review added on Fri 4th Mar 2005

I've visited this place twice now; once for an evening meal and another time for drinks with a friend. I've been very impressed both times and it's the sort of place that Ashford has been crying out for.The food was excellent. The prices were slightly pricey, but the range and taste was superb. The decor and ambience was very modern, but comforting. The furniture all seems to have originated in expensive designer stores, which definitely makes a good impression.Service was friendly and at just the right amount, so you felt like you were having a private meal, but service was always available and at the right speed. When I visited for evening drinks, it was nice to go somewhere that was like a bar, but without the idiots that sometimes inhabit these places. The friendly staff were great and their hot chocolates are great on a cold evening. My main sadness is that I live in Canterbury and this place is in Ashford, otherwise I'd be here much more often!

The food was to die for, service was very good. would of loved to try the crocodile but not brave enough!Massive portions. Baileys cheesescake was wonderful, I would recomend it to anyone.Bar very funky, with the coolest lights ever - excellent atmosphere.a must try venue that Ashford needs. I will return many times.

First Class! - review added on Tue 21st Jun 2005

My fiance and I have been eating and drinking in Utopia for over a year now. The food tastes fantasic, looks fantastic and never fails to impress us!Utopia is the kind of restaurant that Ashford has been crying out for. We enjoy eating out and have visited some of the nicer restaurants in the area. So far none have been as impressive as Utopia. If you're in Ashford during the day then lunch in Utopia is also a must! What more can I say? The atmosphere is great, the service is first rate and the staff are all lovely!

It Lives Up To It's Name. - review added on Fri 8th Jul 2005

Having eaten here on numerous occasions i can safely say that it is consistentley good. As a complete package this restaurant has everything, the right selection of wines to compliment the outstanding menu, the ambience and atmosphere- which you would be hard pressed to find in kent let alone ashford- and fantastic service. You realise by the quality that they care about what they're doing and it really shows. As a man who's travelled and eaten in some great restaurants around the world i can't recommend it highly enough, go, try and be amazed.

Good Food Slow Service - review added on Sun 28th Aug 2005

I have eaten twice at Utopia and on both occasions it took over 30 minutes from the time I placed the order until I was served. This is far too long, most restuarants manage 10 to 15 minutes. The food was good on both occasions although I did notice that my seafood carbonara was lacking onions and ham, which is is normally present in carbonara sauce.

Head and Shoulders Above - review added on Sat 10th Sep 2005

I've eaten here quite a few times and have to say that it really is head and shoulders above anything like it in the area. The atmosphere is light and the service friendly and efficient. The prices not only reflect the quality of the food and the establishment but also decent balue for money. The menu is varied and the food is always of a very high standard. In short this place is a winner with a more mature feel than most Bar/eateries in the ashford area.

Outstanding Venue in Ashford - review added on Wed 1st Feb 2006

I have been to Utopia a number of times and have always found the atmosphere to be excellent, and love the leather chairs and sofas. The Margaritas (drink not pizza) are fantastic, and the bar staff really helpful and cheerful. We have also eaten here, and the quality of the food has been consistently high, although this is based on the fish dishes

Noisy but nice - review added on Wed 25th Jul 2007

I have been to Utopia three times and the food is very good, however, the excess noise means you can hardly hear anyone speak and unfortunately, this spoils the whole atmosphere when dining in the evening. Fix the accoustics and you will have an exccelent restauarnt I and friend will be happy to return to.
